Short explanation
This vulnerability reported for AIOHTTP allows request smuggling because the pure Python parser accepts ambiguous HTTP request framing. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this when an application runs without a standard wheel.
This security flaw enables request smuggling by exploiting interpretation differences between intermediaries and applications, posing a limited impact on integrity and availability.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories
- Upgrade AIOHTTP to version 3.14.4 or later
- Review pure Python parser configurations
Chain of evidence and sources
AIOHTTP sürüm 3.14.4 öncesinde saf Python ayrıştırıcısı belirsiz HTTP istek çerçevelerini kabul etmektedir.
Kimliği doğrulanmamış bir saldırgan, aracı sunucu istekleri farklı yorumladığında istek kaçırma gerçekleştirebilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.4, the pure Python parser accepts ambiguous HTTP request framing. An unauthenticated attacker can consequently smuggle requests when an application uses AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS or otherwise runs without a standard wheel and an intermediary interprets the framing differently. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.
