Short explanation
The CVE-2026-111748 vulnerability in AIOHTTP allows Request.scheme spoofing via absolute-form request targets.
Applications relying on Request.scheme for security decisions can be tricked into misinterpreting the encryption state of connections.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisory and updates
- Verify the AIOHTTP version
Chain of evidence and sources
3.14.4 öncesi AIOHTTP sürümlerinde saldırganlar mutlak biçimli istek göndererek Request.scheme değerini manipüle edebilir.
Request.scheme kullanan uygulamalar şifrelenmiş veya şifrelenmemiş bağlantı durumları konusunda yanıltılabilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.4, an attacker can send an absolute-form request that causes Request.scheme to use attacker-controlled request-target scheme data instead of the connection protocol. Applications that use Request.scheme for security decisions can consequently be tricked into treating an unencrypted connection as encrypted or an encrypted connection as unencrypted. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.
