Short explanation

Prior to version 3.8.6, WeGIA is affected by an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in cadastro_cobranca.php via the codigo parameter.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows attackers to read or modify database content without authentication, endangering confidentiality and integrity.

What should be done?

  • Upgrade the software to version 3.8.6
  • Follow the vendor advisory for guidance
  • Implement input validation and parameter binding
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

WeGIA 3.8.6 öncesi sürümlerde codigo parametresi üzerinden kimlik doğrulanmamış SQL istismarına açıktır.

Saldırganlar veritabanı içeriğini okuyabilir, kullanıcı kimlik bilgisi özetlerini ve fatura kayıtlarını değiştirebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to 3.8.6, unauthenticated POST requests to web/html/socio/sistema/cadastro_cobranca.php can place a quoted SQL expression in the codigo parameter, which extract($_REQUEST) passes into the WHERE codigo= clause of an UPDATE statement without validation or parameter binding. Quoting the value bypasses MariaDB type conversion for the VARCHAR column and permits arbitrary SQL execution without a session. An attacker can read or modify database content, including user credential hashes and billing records in the cobrancas table. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.6.

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
