Short explanation

Prior to version 3.8.6, WeGIA contains a vulnerability in the unauthenticated web/instalador/instalador.php installer endpoint that allows command execution and arbitrary PHP code injection.

Why does it matter?

Successful exploitation can execute commands as the web-server user, persist attacker-controlled PHP configurations, and alter or disrupt application data.

What should be done?

  • Update WeGIA to version 3.8.6 or later
  • Follow the vendor advisory
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

WeGIA sürümlerinde 3.8.6 öncesi ön kimlik doğrulamalı yükleyici uç noktası komut yürütmeye izin verir.

İstismar sonucunda komutlar web sunucusu kullanıcısı yetkileriyle çalıştırılabilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to 3.8.6, the pre-installation web/instalador/instalador.php endpoint is reachable before config.php exists and processes unauthenticated installation POST data. In the Linux reinstall flow, a crafted usuario value reaches a command executed by shell_exec(). The installer also writes attacker-controlled values into executable config.php and concatenates the database name nomebd into a CREATE DATABASE statement. Successful exploitation can execute commands as the web-server user, persist attacker-controlled PHP configuration, and alter or disrupt the application and its data. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.6.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
