Short explanation

CVE-2026-92160 is an integer overflow vulnerability affecting the Svc::FileDownlink component in F´. Wrapping U32 sums bypass file-range validation and trigger FW_ASSERT, causing a denial of service.

Why does it matter?

It allows an authorized caller to manipulate inputs to abort or reset processes, resulting in a denial of service.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories to apply necessary updates
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

CVE-2026-92160, F´ sürüm 4.3.0 öncesindeki Svc::FileDownlink SendPartial fonksiyonunu etkiler.

U32 toplamının sarması, dosya aralığı doğrulamasını atlayarak FW_ASSERT hatasına ve DoS durumuna yol açar.

Show the technical text from the sources

F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.3.0, Svc::FileDownlink SendPartial range validation is vulnerable because the wrapping sum bypasses file-range validation, becomes m_endOffset, and leaves m_byteOffset greater than the wrapped end offset. When an existing source file is larger than the supplied startOffset and a caller able to issue SendPartial supplies a length whose U32 sum with that offset wraps, the first data-packet send reaches FW_ASSERT and aborts or resets the process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
