Short explanation

The CVE-2026-92151 vulnerability in the F´ (F Prime) framework stems from the Svc::Ccsds::SpacePacketDeframer component treating the minimum packet-length condition as an assertion instead of rejecting the buffer. CCSDS telecommand frames leaving a payload of six bytes or fewer cause the flight-software process to abort or reset, resulting in denial of service.

Why does it matter?

This security flaw can cause flight-software processes used in spaceflight and embedded software applications to crash or reset, leading to a denial of service [S0].

What should be done?

  • Update to version 4.2.0 or later
  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Apply relevant patches and security announcements
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

CVE-2026-92151 zafiyeti, 4.2.0 öncesi F´ sürümlerindeki Svc::Ccsds::SpacePacketDeframer bileşenini etkiler.

Altı bayt veya daha kısa yük bırakan CCSDS komut çerçeveleri hizmet engellemeye neden olur.

Bu sorun sürüm 4.2.0 ile giderilmiştir.

Show the technical text from the sources

F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Svc::Ccsds::SpacePacketDeframer dataIn_handler is vulnerable because the handler treats the minimum packet-length condition as FW_ASSERT rather than rejecting and returning the buffer. When a CCSDS telecommand frame leaves a payload of six bytes or fewer after TcDeframer removes its header and trailer, the assertion aborts or resets the flight-software process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.

Public exploit and active exploitation status

Verified exploit intelligence

No verified public PoC, exploit repository or Metasploit module has been found for this CVE yet.
