Short explanation

An issue has been addressed in the Linux kernel mac80211 subsystem where a warning occurred when an IBSS had no channel to scan due to regulatory domain changes.

Why does it matter?

This kernel stability issue triggers unnecessary warnings during regulatory domain changes while IBSS operations are ongoing.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories and updates
  • Apply the source code updates to the kernel

ieee80211_request_ibss_scan() fonksiyonu, regülasyon izin verilen kanal bırakmadığında uyarı üretmektedir.

Regdomain, IBSS çalışırken değişebilir ve 60 saniyelik ek süre boyunca çalışmaya devam edebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: don't warn when an IBSS has no channel to scan ieee80211_request_ibss_scan() warns when regulatory leaves no allowed channel, but that can happen as the regdomain can change while IBSS is operating, and it can continue to operate briefly during the 60s grace period until it's shut down. Just remove the warning in this case.
