Short explanation
The DSGVO All in one for WP plugin versions up to 5.0 contain a stored XSS caused by output‑buffer regex corruption in comment content. An attacker can inject malicious scripts when the administrator enables both Google Tag Manager and the Beta “Replace integration automatically” option and the comment is approved.
The injected script runs in visitors’ browsers, enabling session theft, page manipulation, and data exfiltration.
What should be done?
- Apply vendor‑provided fix when available
- Disable Google Tag Manager and Replace integration options until patched
- Enforce strict input validation and output escaping for comments
- Use a web‑application firewall to block script injection
- Monitor comment submissions for malicious payloads
Chain of evidence and sources
DSGVO All in one for WP ≤ 5.0 sürümlerinde saklı XSS (CWE‑79) bulunuyor.
İstismar, yönetici Google Tag Manager ve Beta “Replace integration automatically” ayarlarını etkinleştirdiğinde ve yorum onaylandığında gerçekleşir.
CISA KEV listesinde yer almadığı için aktif istismar raporlanmamıştır.
Yama durumu resmi kaynaklarda doğrulanamadı; durum UNKNOWN olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
Show the technical text from the sources
The DSGVO All in one for WP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Content via Output Buffer Regex Corruption in all versions up to, and including, 5.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is only exploitable when the administrator has enabled both the 'Google Tag Manager' integration and the 'Replace integration automatically [Beta]' option, and requires the crafted comment to be approved by an administrator.
