Short explanation
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the NoMachine mDNS parsing component allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. Patch status is currently unknown.
It poses a critical risk because it can be exploited over the network without authentication and enables code execution in the context of the service account.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor security advisories
- Check for available updates
