CVE-2026-92156: F´ Framework EventManager Denial of Service Vulnerability

Short explanation

CVE-2026-92156 in the F´ (F Prime) framework involves a packetization flaw in the Svc::EventManager component, where legal oversized LogBuffer values delivered over the standard GenericHub event bridge trigger an assertion and lead to a denial of service.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability can cause process termination and denial of service within the F´ framework used for spaceflight and embedded applications. Standard assertion handling causes processes to abort or reset.

What should be done?

  • Update the F´ framework to version 4.3.0 or later
  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Review published patch references
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

F´ sürüm 4.3.0 öncesindeki Svc::EventManager bileşeninde paketleme hatası bulunmaktadır.

Yasal bir Fw::LogBuffer değerinin kalan bütçeyi aşması durumunda süreç durdurulur ve hizmet engellemesi oluşur.

Show the technical text from the sources

F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.3.0, Svc::EventManager loqQueue_internalInterfaceHandler packetization is vulnerable because EventManager accepts up to the framework LogBuffer maximum, but packet descriptor, event identifier, and time-tag metadata consume part of the larger ComBuffer and leave a smaller remaining budget for log arguments; serialization failure then reaches an assertion. When a deployment bridges events through GenericHub into EventManager and forwards a legal Fw::LogBuffer larger than EventManager remaining log-argument budget, under standard F Prime assertion handling, a legal bridged event payload aborts or resets the process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
