Short explanation
CVE-2026-92152 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Svc::GenericHub component of the F´ (F Prime) framework. Because remote hub packets supply port indices outside the configured output-port array without explicit range checks, it can cause heap memory corruption and potentially allow remote code execution.
This critical vulnerability can lead to remote code execution and heap memory corruption. Depending on build configurations, it may result in service interruption or system compromise, requiring careful attention and mitigation.
What should be done?
- Update the F´ framework to secure versions or follow vendor advisories
- Review related patches and security bulletins to apply official version guidelines
- Inspect GenericHub configurations and code deployments across systems
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.
Chain of evidence and sources
CVE-2026-92152 zaafiyeti, 4.1.0 ile 4.2.0 sürümleri arasındaki F´ çerçevesinde Svc::GenericHub bileşenini etkiler.
Uzak hub paketlerinin aralık kontrolü olmadan port indeksi sağlaması sınır dışı dizi erişimine ve potansiyel uzaktan kod çalıştırılmasına yol açabilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. From 4.1.0 until 4.2.0, Svc::GenericHub output-port dispatch is vulnerable because the deserialized port field is passed to serialOut_out, bufferOut_out, eventOut_out, or tlmOut_out without an explicit range check. When a remote hub packet supplies a port index outside the configured output-port array, assert-enabled builds abort, while builds without assertions can access an output-port array out of bounds, corrupt heap memory, and potentially allow remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0.
