Short explanation
Kimai 2.61.0 ile 2.63.0 arasında olan sürümlerde, API uç noktası üzerindeki izin kontrolü eksikliği nedeniyle yönetici sadece iş sözleşmesi tercihlerinin değiştirilmesi mümkün olur. Bu istismar 2.63.0 sürümünde düzeltildi. Yama durumu bilinmiyor.
This vulnerability enables unauthorized modification of sensitive work-contract settings, potentially leading to data exposure or misuse. It affects only specific versions and is resolved in 2.63.0. No active exploitation is confirmed by CISA KEV.
What should be done?
- Upgrade to Kimai 2.63.0 or later to resolve the vulnerability.
- Follow vendor advisories for official patch details and deployment guidance.
- Do not use versions prior to 2.63.0 if admin-only work-contract preferences are in use.
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.
Chain of evidence and sources
Show the technical text from the sources
Kimai versions from 2.61.0 before 2.63.0 fail to disable admin-only work-contract preferences for low-privilege users in the PATCH /api/users/{id}/preferences endpoint. Although the web interface gates these employment-contract fields behind the contract_other_profile admin permission, the WorkContractPreferenceSubscriber (introduced in 2.61.0) registers the preferences as enabled without a permission check, so an authenticated regular user can use the API to modify their own admin-only work-contract data. The issue is fixed in 2.63.0 by applying the same permission check to the API endpoint.
