Short explanation

In Cerberus FTP Server, an authenticated remote attacker can inject a UNC path via a manipulated parameter, supplying a malicious SMB share path that causes the service account's Net‑NTLMv2 hash to be leaked. The issue is resolved in Cerberus FTP Server version 2026.3.0.

Why does it matter?

Leaked Net‑NTLMv2 hash enables an attacker to coerce authentication and potentially compromise the service account.

What should be done?

  • Upgrade to Cerberus FTP Server 2026.3.0
  • If upgrade is not possible, monitor for suspicious authentication attempts
  • Follow the vendor’s security advisory

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
