Short explanation

A denial-of-service vulnerability in the Miracast over Infrastructure Connection Establishment (MICE) service allows an unauthenticated network attacker to consume available connection capacity and prevent legitimate users from establishing connections.

Why does it matter?

The vulnerability can lead to service disruptions if attackers with network access to the MICE service consume available connection capacity.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Verify that the MICE service remains disabled in default configurations
  • Apply vendor-provided updates for affected products

Show the technical text from the sources

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the Miracast over Infrastructure Connection Establishment (MICE) service. An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the MICE service could consume available connection capacity, preventing legitimate users from establishing MICE-based Miracast connections while the condition persists. Miracast P2P is not affected. MICE is disabled in the default configuration and must be explicitly enabled by the customer. On most devices, Miracast P2P is available independently of MICE, but a complete disruption of Miracast can occur on some devices when WLAN is configured for Infrastructure mode.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
