Short explanation
An unauthenticated data leak vulnerability exists in Coop open-source review and moderation tool prior to version 1.0.0, allowing unauthorized actors to retrieve sensitive organizational and user data via GraphQL endpoints.
This unauthenticated flaw allows external attackers to directly acquire critical organization details and user information on publicly accessible deployments.
What should be done?
- Upgrade to version 1.0.0 or later
- Run the service on an authenticated private network
- Follow vendor advisories for updates
Chain of evidence and sources
Coop 1.0.0 öncesi sürümlerde kimlik doğrulaması olmadan GraphQL üzerinden veri sızıntısı oluşur.
Sorgular aracılığıyla organizasyon bilgileri ve kullanıcı izinleri dışarıdan elde edilebilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
Coop is an open source review and moderation tool from ROOST. Prior to 1.0.0, an unauthenticated actor can query `Query.allOrgs` through `/api/v1/graphql` on a publicly accessible deployment and obtain data for all organizations, including organization IDs, names, email addresses, website URLs and on-call alert email addresses. The `usersWhoCanReviewEveryQueue` field also exposes reviewing users' IDs, email addresses, first and last names, roles, permissions and creation dates. Running the service on an authenticated private network prevents outside actors from directly querying the GraphQL API. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0.
