Short explanation

IXP Manager is affected by a broken object-level authorization vulnerability prior to version 7.3.0, allowing an authenticated user to view and edit a resource belonging to another user without authorization.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability is critical because it enables attackers to access and modify sensitive resources belonging to other users, such as API key records.

What should be done?

  • Update to version 7.3.0 or later
  • Follow vendor advisory guidance
  • Audit API key access controls
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Show the technical text from the sources

IXP Manager is a full-stack web application for managing Internet Exchange Points. Prior to version 7.3.0, an authenticated user can view and edit a resource belonging to another user without authorization. The API-key edit/update path in `ApiKeyController` selects records by identifier without checking that `user_id` matches the caller, allowing access to another user's API-key record. This issue is fixed in version 7.3.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
