Short explanation

In Tandoor Recipes prior to version 2.6.10, an authenticated user can pass an administrator-controlled AI provider URL directly to LiteLLM without applying outbound-request SSRF checks, leading to a blind server-side request forgery vulnerability.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows attackers to reach internal services, other hosts on the server network, and cloud metadata endpoints, as well as map reachable internal hosts and ports.

What should be done?

  • Update to Tandoor Recipes version 2.6.10 or later
  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Review AI provider URL configurations
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

Tandoor Recipes 2.6.10 öncesi sürümlerde, yönetici kontrollü yapay zeka sağlayıcı URL'si safe_request atlanarak doğrudan LiteLLM'e aktarılır.

Etkilenen yapay zeka eylemleri TARGET/api/ai-import/ ve api/ai-step-sort/ üzerinden çağrılır.

Bu güvenlik açığı 2.6.10 sürümünde giderilmiştir.

Show the technical text from the sources

Tandoor Recipes is an application for managing recipes, planning meals, and building shopping lists. Prior to 2.6.10, passes an administrator-controlled AI provider URL directly to LiteLLM without applying the server's outbound-request SSRF checks when an authenticated user creates a Space, configures an AI provider with a URL targeting an internal address, and invokes an AI action. In cookbook/views/api.py, the affected AI actions call completion through TARGET/api/ai-import/ and api/ai-step-sort/ while bypassing safe_request. The attack works because the server connects to the supplied provider URL from each AI action and exposes connection success, refusal, or timeout as a blind network-reachability oracle. This can reach internal services, other hosts on the server network, and cloud metadata endpoints and map reachable internal hosts and ports. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.10.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
