Short explanation

Prior to commit 271d415, CloudPirates-io helm-charts features a pull_request_target workflow vulnerable to cache poisoning and OIDC token theft [S0]. This vulnerability allows attacker-controlled code to access base repository secrets and tokens [S1].

Why does it matter?

This security flaw can lead to unauthorized code execution and the exposure of sensitive secrets via a shared Actions cache [S0]. A poisoned cache entry may execute during a subsequent release workflow [S1].

What should be done?

  • Updating to commit 271d415 [S0]
  • Following vendor advisories [S0]
  • Reviewing workflow configurations [S1]

Show the technical text from the sources

CloudPirates Open Source Helm Charts is a collection of Helm charts. Prior to commit 271d415, pull_request_target workflow is vulnerable to cache poisoning and OIDC token theft. A pull_request_target workflow checks out fork code using github.event.pull_request.head.sha or .head.ref. This gives attacker-controlled code access to base repository secrets and tokens. A pull_request_target workflow writes to a shared Actions cache. A subsequent release or publish workflow restores from the same cache scope, allowing a poisoned cache entry to execute during release. This issue has been patched via commit 271d415.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
