Short explanation
CVE-2026-50541 in Xibo CMS is an IDOR vulnerability on the GET /dataset/export/csv/{id} endpoint that allows authenticated users to export arbitrary datasets due to missing access-control checks.
This vulnerability allows accounts with specific edit privileges to access and export datasets created by administrators by iterating over sequential dataset IDs, exposing sensitive information.
What should be done?
- Update to version 4.4.3 or later fixed releases.
- Review user privileges and dataset editing permissions.
- Follow vendor advisories for updates.
Chain of evidence and sources
Xibo CMS sürümleri 4.4.3 öncesinde, GET /dataset/export/csv/{id} uç noktasında eksik erişim denetimleri bulunmaktadır.
İstismar süreci, sıralı veri seti kimlikleri üzerinden yineleme yaparak herhangi bir veri setinin dışarı aktarılmasına izin verir.
Show the technical text from the sources
Xibo is an open source digital signage platform with a web content management system and Windows display player software. Prior to 4.4.3, missing access-control checks on `GET /dataset/export/csv/{id}` allow an authenticated user to export data from any dataset, including datasets created by administrators, by iterating over `sequential dataset IDs`. Exploitation requires access to the privilege allowing edits, including deletion, to all created `DataSets` independently of Layouts. This privilege is not granted to non-administrators as standard. This issue is fixed in version 4.4.3.
