Short explanation
In EspoCRM, due to missing authorization checks, a low-privileged user can invoke opt-out actions on a protected Contact or Lead record without proper access. This issue is documented in S0 and S1 records.
This vulnerability allows unauthorized users to modify the opted_out relationship state of protected records, leading to integrity breaches.
What should be done?
- Update EspoCRM software to version 9.3.7
- Follow official vendor advisories
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.
Chain of evidence and sources
9.3.7 öncesi EspoCRM sürümleri, düşük yetkili bir kullanıcının korumalı bir kayıt üzerinde opt-out eylemleri gerçekleştirmesine izin verir.
Hizmet hedef listesi erişimini doğrular ancak hedef kaydı gerekli yetkilendirme olmadan getirir.
Show the technical text from the sources
EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Prior to 9.3.7, a low-privileged user who can access a shared TargetList can invoke opt-out or cancel-opt-out actions for a protected Contact or Lead that the user cannot read or edit. The service validates access to the target list but retrieves the target record without the required record authorization, allowing unauthorized changes to its opted_out relationship state. This issue is fixed in version 9.3.7.
