Short explanation
Versions of Devalue prior to 5.9.3 allow custom ArrayBuffer revivers in the parse function to skip typed‑array allocation checks, enabling allocation of massive ArrayBuffers. This can exhaust memory and cause denial‑of‑service. CVE‑2026‑123563 is rated high (CVSS 8.7/7.5); no evidence of active exploitation and patch status is unknown.
Memory exhaustion can lead to service outages and loss of application availability.
What should be done?
- Upgrade Devalue to version 5.9.3 or later
- Monitor memory usage and set alerts for anomalies
- Follow vendor security advisory when released

Show the technical text from the sources
Devalue before 5.9.3 contains a validation bypass vulnerability that allows custom ArrayBuffer revivers to skip typed-array allocation checks in the parse function. Attackers can supply very small crafted input processed by a malformed ArrayBuffer reviver to allocate massive ArrayBuffers, causing memory exhaustion and denial of service.
