Short explanation
An authorization flaw in the Altium 365 Git service lets a user with view‑only rights write to a project repository. Only an authenticated account that already has access to the project can exploit it. The issue has been fixed at the service level, on‑premise servers are unaffected, and no additional customer action is required. Patch status could not be verified in official sources.
Unauthorized writes can corrupt code, introduce malicious changes, and compromise software supply‑chain integrity.
What should be done?
- Altium 365 service‑level fix is applied automatically; SaaS users need no further action
- Monitor Altium advisories for on‑premise updates
- Configure Git permissions using least‑privilege principle
- Regularly audit repository access logs
- Use separate accounts for write‑privileged operations
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.

Show the technical text from the sources
An incorrect authorization vulnerability exists in the Altium 365 Git Service. The permission check performed when a user pushes to a project repository did not correctly evaluate the required access level, so the check passed for any user holding any level of access to the project. As a result, an authenticated user with view-only access to a project could write to that project's git repository. Read access was evaluated correctly and was not affected, and exploitation requires an authenticated account with existing access to the target project. The issue has been remediated in Altium 365 at the service level and no customer action is required. On-premise Altium Enterprise Server is not affected.
