Short explanation
SPIP before version 4.4.29 contains an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability via the where parameter [S0].
Authenticated attackers with back-office access can extract database contents, including protected articles and users' bcrypt password hashes [S0].
What should be done?
- Follow the vendor advisory to apply updates [S0].
Chain of evidence and sources
SPIP 4.4.29 öncesi sürümlerde arka ofis erişimi olan kimlik doğrulanmış saldırganlar SQL injection gerçekleştirebilir [S0].
Saldırganlar POST ve GET parametrelerindeki uyuşmazlığı kullanarak veritabanı içeriğini ve bcrypt parola hash'lerini çıkarabilir [S0].
Show the technical text from the sources
SPIP before 4.4.29 contains a SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with back-office access to inject arbitrary SQL by submitting a differing where parameter value in the POST body versus the GET query string on the /ecrire/?exec=articles endpoint, bypassing spip_sanitize_from_request() sanitization. Attackers can exploit this request parameter mismatch to extract database contents, including protected articles and bcrypt password hashes of users.
