Short explanation

CVE-2026-11854 is a Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting multiple WSO2 products due to insufficient data sanitization in authentication endpoint error messages. The vulnerability allows attackers to execute malicious scripts within a victim's browser context.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability enables attackers to modify the user interface, redirect users to malicious websites, or retrieve information. Due to the httpOnly flag on session cookies, session hijacking attacks are prevented.

What should be done?

  • Monitor vendor security advisories and updates
  • Apply updates to affected WSO2 product components
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

CVE-2026-11854, WSO2 ürünlerindeki kimlik doğrulama uç noktası hata mesajlarında yetersiz veri süzmesi nedeniyle ortaya çıkar.

Oturum çerezlerindeki httpOnly bayrağı sayesinde oturum ele geçirme saldırıları mümkün olmamaktadır.

Show the technical text from the sources

The authentication endpoint generates an error message that includes reflected data directly from the request without sufficient sanitization or encoding. This allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts that can be executed in the context of a victim's browser. Successful exploitation enables an attacker to perform actions within the user's browser, such as redirecting the user to a malicious website, modifying the web page's user interface, or retrieving information. However, due to the httpOnly flag on session-related cookies, session hijacking or similar attacks are not possible.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
