Short explanation
Form Maker by 10Web plugin versions up to 1.15.50 contain an unauthenticated stored XSS via the disabled_fields parameter. An attacker can manipulate a form that includes a File Upload field, causing malicious script execution when an admin opens the Submissions page.
Executing code in an admin’s browser can lead to site takeover and credential theft.
What should be done?
- Monitor vendor advisory for a fix and apply it when released
- Enforce strict input validation and output escaping for form fields
- Remove or restrict unnecessary File Upload fields
- Deploy a WAF rule to block the malicious payload pattern
- Audit existing submissions for injected scripts
Chain of evidence and sources
Form Maker by 10Web eklentisinin 1.15.50 ve öncesi sürümlerinde kimlik doğrulaması gerektirmeyen saklı XSS bulunur (S0).
CISA KEV listesinde yer almadığı için aktif istismar kanıtı yoktur (S0).
Resmi yama durumu UNKNOWN olduğundan, vendor advisory izlenmesi önerilir (S0).
Show the technical text from the sources
The Form Maker by 10Web – Mobile-Friendly Drag & Drop Contact Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wdform_<field_id>_element<form_id> (payload) + disabled_fields<form_id> (pivot)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.15.50 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the targeted form to contain a File Upload field, as the attacker must suppress that field's storage row via the disabled_fields parameter to shift a controlled text-field value into the positional slot where escaping is skipped; execution occurs when an administrator opens the Submissions page for the affected form.
