Short explanation
CVE-2026-117859 exploits a flaw in the Keycloak‑services component's PAR (Pushed Authorization Request) implementation, allowing the same authorization request to be used multiple times.
This enables attackers to bypass single‑use request protections and obtain unauthorized access tokens.
What should be done?
- Monitor Red Hat security advisories
- Follow vendor advisory for updates and patches
- Monitor token usage and detect anomalies
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.
Chain of evidence and sources
Show the technical text from the sources
A flaw was found in the Pushed Authorization Request PAR implementation of the keycloak-services component. The issue occurs when an authentication flow is restarted, which incorrectly clears the internal markers used to track PAR consumption while leaving the request active. This allows an attacker to reuse the same authorization request to obtain multiple access tokens, bypassing security requirements for single-use requests.
