Short explanation
The Link Library plugin for WordPress up to version 7.10.0 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'link_description' parameter. Caused by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, this flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages.
This unauthenticated vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts into affected pages without requiring any privileges. Users visiting an injected page may experience script execution within their browser session.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories and updates
- Review configuration settings if applicable
- Monitor official channels for patch availability
Chain of evidence and sources
Link Library eklentisinin 7.10.0 ve önceki sürümleri 'link_description' parametresi üzerinden Stored Cross-Site Scripting zafiyetine açıktır.

Show the technical text from the sources
The Link Library plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'link_description' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.10.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This exploit requires the site administrator to have enabled the non-default 'Convert [] to <> in Link Description and Notes' (use_html_tags) setting; when this option is off, the bracket-to-angle-bracket conversion never runs and the payload is never reconstructed into executable HTML.
