Short explanation

The Link Library plugin versions up to and including 7.9.2 are vulnerable to time‑based SQL injection via the 'link_url' parameter. Unauthenticated attackers can extract sensitive database information. The CVSS base score is 7.5 (High). Patch status is not confirmed in official sources.

Why does it matter?

An unauthenticated flaw enables attackers to directly steal data and compromise application integrity.

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory and upgrade to the latest version
  • Restrict incoming requests to the 'link_url' parameter via firewall rules
  • Monitor for abnormal query latency to detect exploitation attempts
Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

'link_url' parametresi üzerinden kimlik doğrulaması gerektirmeyen zaman‑temelli SQL enjeksiyonu, Link Library 0‑7.9.2 sürümlerinde mümkündür.

Bu açık için CVSS temel skoru 7.5 olup, CISA KEV listesinde aktif istismar bulunmamaktadır.

Resmi kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadığı için yama durumu UNKNOWN olarak raporlanmıştır.

Show the technical text from the sources

The Link Library plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the 'link_url' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.9.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
