Short explanation
In Prime Mover – Backup and Migration versions up to 2.2.1, an attacker can post a comment via wp‑comments‑post.php and store a crafted base64‑encoded serialized object in wp_comments.comment_content. When an administrator runs the plugin’s export or restore function, the value is base64‑decoded and passed to an unrestricted unserialize(), triggering a POP chain in the bundled Freemius library that leads to remote code execution and full site compromise. (S0,S1)
The flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to fully compromise the site, putting critical data and services at risk. (S0)
What should be done?
- Monitor and block suspicious base64 payloads in comments
- Disable unauthenticated comment posting or enforce moderation
- Apply vendor patch when available (follow official advisory)
- Consider removing or replacing the Prime Mover plugin
- Deploy a WAF to filter serialized object injections
The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.
Chain of evidence and sources
CVE-2026-115806, Prime Mover eklentisinin 2.2.1 ve öncesi sürümlerinde kimlik doğrulama gerektirmeyen PHP Object Injection açığı içerir. (S0,S1)
Bu açık, saldırganın wp‑comments‑post.php üzerinden yorum göndererek özel bir base64‑kodlu nesne yerleştirmesine ve ardından yönetici dışa aktarım/geri yükleme yaptığında uzaktan kod yürütmesine izin verir. (S0,S1)
CISA KEV listesinde yer almamaktadır; aktif istismar raporlanmamıştır. (S0)
Yama durumu UNKNOWN olarak belirtilmiş; resmi bir düzeltme henüz doğrulanmamıştır. (S0)

The Prime Mover – Backup and Migration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.1 via deserialization of untrusted input in the migration search-and-replace routine (recursiveUnserializeReplace()). An unauthenticated attacker can store a crafted, base64-encoded serialized object in wp_comments.comment_content through the standard comment-submission endpoint (wp-comments-post.php). When an administrator subsequently performs a routine Prime Mover export or restore, the plugin base64-decodes that stored value and passes it to unserialize() with no allowed_classes restriction. A Property-Oriented Programming (POP) chain is present in the plugin's own bundled Freemius library (FS_Clone_Manager::__set → FS_Option_Manager::set_option → store() → update_option()), so no additional plugin or theme is required — the plugin ships the gadget itself.
