Short explanation

Mozilla blocked compromised intermediate eMudhra certificates via OneCRL due to a cryptographic issue in the Security Block-lists, Allow-lists, and other State component. The update ensures clients block the certificates even if RemoteSettings is disabled.

Why does it matter?

Failure to block compromised certificates on clients can compromise encrypted traffic security and weaken authentication mechanisms.

What should be done?

  • Update to Firefox 158.0.1
  • Update to Firefox ESR 153.5.1
  • Update to Firefox ESR 115.43.1
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Mozilla, ele geçirilen intermediate eMudhra sertifikalarını OneCRL aracılığıyla engellemiştir.

Bu zafiyet Firefox 158.0.1, Firefox ESR 153.5.1 ve Firefox ESR 115.43.1 sürümlerinde giderilmiştir.

Show the technical text from the sources

Mozilla blocked compromised intermediate eMudhra certificates via OneCRL on the 17th of October which was distributed to clients via RemoteSettings the same day. This update contains the updated OneCRL block list, ensuring clients will block the compromised certificates even if RemoteSettings is disabled by policy or otherwise unavailable in the user's network environment. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158.0.1, Firefox ESR 153.5.1, and Firefox ESR 115.43.1.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
