Short explanation

A weakness has been identified in Ultralytics FastSAM AutoBackend Model Loading, causing improper neutralization of directives in dynamically evaluated code. The attack requires local access, and specific version information is unavailable due to the rolling release model.

Why does it matter?

This flaw allows attackers to manipulate dynamically evaluated code, creating limited impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories and updates
  • Monitor the associated issue report and project

Show the technical text from the sources

A weakness has been identified in Ultralytics FastSAM up to b4ed20c2fed75eadc5aa7d8b09fedd137b873b52. This affects the function session.get_modelmeta.custom_metadata_map of the file ultralytics/nn/autobackend.py of the component AutoBackend Model Loading. This manipulation of the argument imgsz/names/kpt_shape causes improper neutralization of directives in dynamically evaluated code. The attack requires local access. This product uses a rolling release model to deliver continuous updates. As a result, specific version information for affected or updated releases is not available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
