Short explanation

Aureus ERP through version 1.6.0 contains a stored cross‑site scripting flaw in RuleForm.php and RuleInfolist.php where Operation Type and Location names are not escaped, allowing authenticated users to inject malicious scripts.

Why does it matter?

Stored XSS enables execution of malicious code in an administrator’s session, leading to unauthorized actions.

What should be done?

  • Apply the vendor patch (pull request 1619)
  • Upgrade Aureus ERP beyond 1.6.0
  • Properly escape/validate rule name fields
  • Enhance input validation and monitoring

Show the technical text from the sources

Aureus ERP through 1.6.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated users to inject scripts via unescaped Operation Type and Location names in RuleForm.php and RuleInfolist.php. Attackers can store HTML/JavaScript payloads in names that execute when warehouse managers or administrators view or edit Inventory Rules, performing actions in their session context.
