Short explanation
Colanode server through version 0.4.7 contains a path traversal vulnerability. Authenticated users can read arbitrary .jpeg files by supplying an encoded traversal sequence in the avatarId parameter.
This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to gain unauthorized file access and read sensitive .jpeg files belonging to other workspaces.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories and available updates
- Review input validation mechanisms
Chain of evidence and sources
Colanode server 0.4.7 ve önceki sürümler, avatarId parametresi üzerinden path traversal zafiyetinden etkilenmektedir.
Saldırganlar GET /client/v1/avatars/:avatarId uç noktasına percent-encoded ../ dizilimleri göndererek diğer çalışma alanlarına ait .jpeg dosyalarını okuyabilir.
