Short explanation
Sofia-SIP versions contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in msg_multipart_parse(). Unauthenticated remote attackers can crash the process by sending oversized MIME boundaries.
This unauthenticated flaw allows remote attackers to trigger denial-of-service conditions by crashing the affected process.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor security advisories
- Apply updates when available

Chain of evidence and sources
Sofia-SIP 1.13.18 ve önceki sürümleri, msg_multipart_parse işlevinde heap out-of-bounds read zafiyetinden etkilenmektedir.
Saldırganlar, gövde uzunluğunu aşan MIME sınırları göndererek memcmp işlevinin arabelleğin ötesini okumasını ve süreci çökeltmesini sağlayabilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
Sofia-SIP through 1.13.18 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in msg_multipart_parse() that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to crash the process by sending oversized MIME boundaries. Attackers can send an INVITE with a multipart Content-Type whose boundary exceeds the body length, causing memcmp to read past the heap buffer and crash the process.
