Short explanation

CVE-2026-110311 is an information exposure vulnerability occurring when creating a draft release through the API. According to S0, users can receive metadata of issue and comment attachments from unreadable repositories as well as abandoned uploads.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability can lead to privacy breaches by allowing unauthorized users to access sensitive metadata such as file names, UUIDs, upload times, sizes, and download counts.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisory notices
  • Review related patches and updates
  • Audit API access permissions
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

API üzerinden taslak sürüm oluşturulduğunda, kimliksiz bir sürümden inşa edilen assets listesi sürümle bağlantılı olmayan tüm eklerle eşleşir.

Taslak sürüm oluşturabilen bir kullanıcı, okuyamadığı depoların eklerine ve terk edilmiş yüklemelere ait meta verilere erişebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

Creating a draft release through the API returned an `assets` list that was built from a release without an ID, which matched every attachment that was not linked to a release. A user who could create a draft release in a repository therefore received the metadata (file name, UUID, upload time, size and download count) of issue and comment attachments of repositories they could not read, and of abandoned uploads.
