Short explanation

A CSRF vulnerability discovered in the Salon Booking System plugin allows unauthenticated attackers to forge requests in the browser of a logged-in administrator.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability allows attackers to create a new administrator account, potentially leading to a full system compromise.

What should be done?

  • Follow vendor advisories
  • Update the plugin
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Salon Booking System eklentisinin 10.31.9 öncesi sürümleri, REST API istekleri için istek bütünlüğünü doğru doğrulamaz.

Saldırganlar oturum açmış bir yöneticiyi kandırarak yeni bir yönetici hesabı oluşturabilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The Salon Booking System WordPress plugin before 10.31.9 does not correctly verify the authenticity of REST API requests and discards WordPress core's nonce check for cookie-authenticated sessions across the whole REST API, allowing unauthenticated attackers who trick a logged-in administrator into clicking a crafted link to forge requests in that administrator's browser, up to creating a new administrator account.
