Short explanation
PHP contains a vulnerability where global state pointing temporarily into request memory may not be correctly reset or may be repopulated after being reset, leading to use-after-free conditions and remote code execution (RCE).
This critical vulnerability poses severe risks because it allows unauthorized attackers to achieve remote code execution by leveraging stale global state references.
What should be done?
- Follow the official vendor advisory
- Update affected PHP versions
- Monitor vendor patch status updates
Chain of evidence and sources
PHP içinde bayat küresel durumlar nedeniyle uzaktan kod yürütme (RCE) zafiyeti bulunmaktadır.
Resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu şu an için UNKNOWN olarak değerlendirilmektedir.
Show the technical text from the sources
PHP has various global state that temporarily points into request memory. In some scenarios, global state may not be correctly reset, or may be repopulated after being reset. The global state may then refer to request memory even after it has been freed. Subsequent requests may read or branch on this stale state before it is fully initialized. Multiple strategies can trigger this condition and produce remote code execution (RCE).
