Short explanation
A security vulnerability was discovered in SUSE Rancher Fleet's cluster registration flow. The cluster identity claimed by a registration request was accepted without being bound to the registration token, allowing registration requests to be associated with managed clusters registered with different tokens.
This vulnerability allows access to another cluster's Fleet namespace, compromising the confidentiality and integrity of affected managed cluster resources.
What should be done?
- Review the vendor security advisory for updates
- Apply guidance provided by SUSE Rancher
