Short explanation

Improper input validation in the JDBC user store configuration within the WSO2 Management Console allows for OS command injection and arbitrary code execution on the affected server.

Why does it matter?

Successful exploitation enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server with the privileges of the WSO2 product, potentially leading to a full compromise of the system.

What should be done?

  • Monitor official vendor security advisories
  • Review the provided security documentation
  • Apply vendor patches and updates as available
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

WSO2 Yönetim Konsolu, JDBC kullanıcı deposu yapılandırması sırasında girdileri uygun şekilde doğrulamamaktadır.

Bu zafiyet, WSO2 ürününün yetkileriyle sunucuda rastgele kod çalıştırılmasına ve sistemin tamamen ele geçirilmesine yol açabilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The Management Console fails to properly validate input related to the configuration of JDBC user stores. This weakness allows an attacker to supply specially crafted input that can lead to the execution of arbitrary code on the affected server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server with the privileges of the WSO2 product. This could lead to a full compromise of the system.
