Short explanation
The Wp Parsidate plugin up to version 6.4 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the calendar Gutenberg block's 'theme' attribute.
Authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing risks to site integrity and users.
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories as patch status is currently unknown
- Check regularly for plugin updates
Chain of evidence and sources
Wp Parsidate eklentisinin 6.4 ve önceki sürümleri, calendar Gutenberg bloğundaki 'theme' özniteliği üzerinden Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) açıktır.
Yetersiz girdi temizliği ve çıktı kaçışı, değerin esc_attr() kullanılmadan doğrudan class özniteliğine eklenmesine neden olur.
Katkıda bulunan ve üzeri erişime sahip kimliği doğrulanmış saldırganlar, sayfalara kötü amaçlı web betikleri enjekte edebilir.
Show the technical text from the sources
The Wp Parsidate plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the calendar Gutenberg block's 'theme' attribute in versions up to, and including, 6.4. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the block attribute value which is concatenated directly into an HTML class attribute in the printCalendar() function without esc_attr(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
