Short explanation

Versions of the Robokassa payment gateway for Woocommerce plugin prior to 1.9.0 do not verify incoming payment notification requests, allowing unauthenticated attackers to force any WooCommerce order into a failed state [S0].

Why does it matter?

Because order identifiers are sequential, attackers can remove any order from the fulfillment queue one request at a time, disrupting operations [S0].

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory for updates and check for patch availability [S0].

Show the technical text from the sources

The Robokassa payment gateway for Woocommerce WordPress plugin before 1.9.0 does not verify the authenticity of an incoming payment-notification request before acting on the order named in it, allowing unauthenticated attackers to force any WooCommerce order into a failed state. Order identifiers are sequential, so every order in the shop can be taken out of the fulfilment queue one request at a time.
