Short explanation

A security control bypass flaw in Quarkus REST Data Panache allows unauthenticated attackers to gain unauthorized access on generated endpoints [S0].

Why does it matter?

When developers customize operations using @MethodProperties without explicitly re-declaring security roles, class-level security requirements are dropped [S0]. This can lead to unauthorized information disclosure or data modification [S0].

What should be done?

  • Explicitly re-declare security roles [S0].
  • Follow vendor advisories and official updates [S0].
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Quarkus REST Data Panache içindeki bu açık, kimlik doğrulaması olmayan saldırganların üretilen uç noktalardaki güvenlik kontrollerini atlamasına izin verir [S0].

@MethodProperties ile yapılan özelleştirmelerde güvenlik rollerinin açıkça belirtilmemesi sınıf düzeyindeki güvenlik gereksinimlerini düşürür [S0].

Show the technical text from the sources

A flaw was found in Quarkus REST Data Panache. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass security controls on generated endpoints. When a developer customizes a specific operation using @MethodProperties without explicitly re-declaring security roles, the code generator silently drops class-level security requirements. This results in the affected endpoint defaulting to permissive, unauthenticated access, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure or data modification.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
