Short explanation

In KurrentDB version 26.1.0, a user authorized to read the $all stream can use secondary indexing queries to read arbitrary files accessible to the database process, enumerate directories, and issue HTTP GET requests from that process. The default configuration limits this privilege to administrators. The issue is fixed in version 26.1.1.

Why does it matter?

An attacker could gain visibility into the host file system and internal services.

What should be done?

  • Upgrade KurrentDB to version 26.1.1
  • Restrict $all read permission to trusted accounts
  • Review and harden database process file system permissions
  • Monitor for unexpected file reads or outbound HTTP activity
Note on uncertainty

The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.

Chain of evidence and sources3 verified claims

Bu zafiyet, $all okuma iznine sahip bir saldırganın rastgele dosya okuması, dizin listelemesi ve GET‑only SSRF gerçekleştirmesine olanak tanır.

Show the technical text from the sources

KurrentDB is a database engineered for modern software applications and event-driven architectures. In version 26.1.0, a user authorized to read the $all stream can use Secondary Indexing query capabilities to read arbitrary files accessible to the database process, enumerate directories, and issue HTTP GET requests from that process. The default configuration limits this privilege to administrators. The flaw does not permit file writes and does not expose environment variables. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.1.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
