Short explanation

CVE-2026-79656 is a vulnerability in Grafana OSS and Grafana Enterprise where Generic OAuth, Google, and GitLab connectors write unredacted OAuth and OIDC tokens to server logs.

Why does it matter?

Users with read access to server logs or log stores can recover OAuth and OIDC access, refresh, and ID tokens of sign-in users.

What should be done?

  • Follow the official vendor advisory
  • Restrict read access to server logs and log stores
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Show the technical text from the sources

A user with read access to Grafana's server logs, or to a log store they are shipped to, can recover the OAuth and OIDC access, refresh and ID tokens of users who sign in through the Generic OAuth, Google or GitLab providers. Grafana writes these tokens to its logs unredacted when an access or ID token is not a valid JWT, when the ID token is missing (at debug level) or is not a string (exposure of sensitive information in log files). The exposure is bounded by the scopes granted to the configured OAuth client.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
