Short explanation

A quadratic complexity issue occurs when coalescing adjacent text nodes during addText and fosterParent in golang.org/x/net/html. S0

Why does it matter?

Inputs containing many short text runs can trigger O(n^2) allocations and byte copies, leading to resource consumption. S0

What should be done?

  • Follow official vendor advisories. S0
  • Monitor for further updates as the patch status remains unknown. S0
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

golang.org/x/net/html paketinin 0 < 0.62.0 sürümleri etkilenmektedir.

Yama durumu resmî kaynaklarda doğrulanamamıştır.

Show the technical text from the sources

When coalescing adjacent text nodes in addText and fosterParent, appending to an existing TextNode's Data via string concatenation (n.Data += text) reallocated and copied the accumulated string on every token. Inputs containing many short text runs separated by ignored end tags (such as "a</x>") caused O(n^2) allocations and byte copies. Accumulate coalesced text in per-node byte slices during parsing and materialize Data strings once at the end of parse.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
