Short explanation
The VK Blocks plugin versions up to and including 1.126.1 contain a stored XSS flaw in the Group Block 'linkToPost' feature due to insufficient input sanitization. Authenticated attackers with contributor‑level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute whenever a victim loads the compromised page.
Stored XSS enables execution of malicious code in users' browsers, leading to session hijacking, data theft, or page defacement.
What should be done?
- Monitor vendor advisory and apply patch when released
- If no patch, harden input sanitization and output escaping for the affected feature
- Deploy a WAF to block XSS payloads
- Use security plugins to detect and block XSS attempts
- Restrict contributor privileges to the minimum required
- Maintain backups and monitor for signs of exploitation

Show the technical text from the sources
The VK Blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Group Block 'linkToPost' Feature in all versions up to, and including, 1.126.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
