Short explanation
Frappe HRMS contains a missing authorization vulnerability in PWA API endpoints. An authenticated user can access sensitive data belonging to other employees, leading to cross-employee data access.
The lack of proper authorization controls allows authenticated users to access employee records outside their scope, resulting in privacy breaches.
What should be done?
- Upgrade to version 15.58.3
- Upgrade to version 16.4.3
- Follow vendor advisories
Chain of evidence and sources
Frappe HRMS PWA API uç noktaları, çalışanlara ait isteklerde yetkilendirmeyi tutarlı bir şekilde uygulamamaktadır.
Başarılı istismar sonucunda diğer çalışanlara ait hassas İK verilerine erişilebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources
Frappe HR is an open-source human resources management solution (HRMS). Prior to 15.58.3 and 16.4.3, HRMS PWA API endpoints for employee data do not consistently authorize employee-specific PWA API requests. An authenticated user requests records associated with another employee. The user can request records associated with another employee through PWA API endpoints. Successful exploitation can access sensitive HR data belonging to other employees. This issue is fixed in versions 15.58.3 and 16.4.3.
