Short explanation

ThingLinks prior to version 1.4.0 contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the TDengine TDS APIs. A remote attacker can tamper with time-series data.

Why does it matter?

This critical vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to tamper with time-series data, insert unintended rows, or overwrite existing readings.

What should be done?

  • Update ThingLinks to version 1.4.0 or later
  • Follow the vendor security advisory
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

ThingLinks 1.4.0 öncesi sürümlerde TDengine TDS API'lerinde kimlik doğrulama gerektirmeyen SQL enjeksiyonu açığı bulunmaktadır.

İstek kontrollü JSON alan değerleri, /anyUser/tds/insertTableData uç noktasında güvenli olmayan SQL oluşturulmasına yol açmaktadır.

Show the technical text from the sources

ThingLinks is an enterprise IoT platform. Prior to 1.4.0, an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the `TDengine TDS APIs` allows request-controlled JSON field values submitted to `/anyUser/tds/insertTableData` to reach unsafe SQL construction in the `TDS mapper`. A remote unauthenticated attacker can tamper with TDengine time-series data, including inserting unintended rows or overwriting existing readings. The affected surface is the TDS module's insert-table-data flow and TDengine mapper SQL generation. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.0.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.

Public exploit and active exploitation status

Verified exploit intelligence

No verified public PoC, exploit repository or Metasploit module has been found for this CVE yet.
