Short explanation

The HTTPApproval component of PraisonAI renders tool arguments as raw HTML in the approval dashboard, leading to an XSS vulnerability [S0]. An attacker can inject JavaScript to approve dangerous tools automatically [S0].

Why does it matter?

Triggered when an authenticated user opens the approval URL, this flaw allows attackers to automatically approve risky tool requests and execute unauthorized actions within the dashboard [S0].

What should be done?

  • Follow the vendor advisory to apply necessary updates [S0].
  • Review affected PraisonAI deployments [S0].
Note on uncertainty

The sources give limited detail on some technical conditions. Review the chain of evidence below before deciding how to act.

Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

PraisonAI HTTPApproval panosu araç argümanlarını ham HTML olarak işleyerek onay sayfası XSS zafiyetine sebep olur.

Savunmasız sürümler 4.5.2 ile 4.6.59 arasındadır.

Show the technical text from the sources

PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From version 4.5.2 to before version 4.6.59, praisonai.bots.HTTPApproval renders pending tool approval arguments directly into the approval dashboard HTML. An attacker-controlled tool argument can inject JavaScript into that page. When a human opens the approval URL to inspect the risky tool request, the script runs in the dashboard origin and can POST to the same request's /approve/{request_id}/decide endpoint, causing HTTPApproval to return approved=True. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.59.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
