Short explanation

InvoiceShelf contains a vulnerability where client-supplied document totals are trusted without verification, allowing authenticated users to manipulate financial totals (S0).

Why does it matter?

This flaw allows attackers to persist manipulated financial totals in documents so they disagree with item prices and quantities (S0).

What should be done?

  • Update InvoiceShelf to version 2.4.0 or later (S0).
  • Follow vendor advisories (S0).
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

InvoiceShelf, 2.4.0 öncesi sürümlerde istemci tarafından sağlanan belge toplamlarını doğrulamamaktadır (S0).

Kimliği doğrulanmış kullanıcılar InvoicesRequest işleyicileri aracılığıyla manipüle edilmiş finansal toplamları kalıcı hale getirebilir (S0).

Show the technical text from the sources

InvoiceShelf is an open-source web & mobile app that helps track expenses, payments and create professional invoices and estimates. Prior to version 2.4.0, InvoiceShelf invoice, estimate, and recurring-invoice creation paths accept client-supplied total, sub_total, tax, discount_val, and due_amount values without verifying that they match the submitted line items. An authenticated user can persist manipulated financial totals through InvoicesRequest::getInvoicePayload and the corresponding EstimatesRequest and RecurringInvoiceRequest handlers, causing stored document totals to disagree with their item prices and quantities. This issue is fixed in version 2.4.0.
